As I mentioned in an earlier post, Camp Kesem is a college-student run summer camp for children whose parents have or have had cancer. To see my last blog post about Camp Kesem, click

Now, I have another opportunity for everyone to help to bring Camp Kesem to CMU. Camp Kesem is in a national competition to win ONE MILLION dollars. All we need is your vote!
Currently, we are in the student recognition process and so close to having Camp Kesem as an official student organization. By the time the next incoming first year class comes to CMU, Camp Kesem should definitely be a full fledged student organization. Be on the lookout!!
Camp Kesem is a brilliant example of the great initiatives that are being organized in CMU. Certainly something to be proud of!
Hi Nicole, Thank you for your information of Camp Kesem for helping children whose parents have cancer and I am quite interested in this summer camp and long to join you.
I myself have ever worked as a hospital volunteer in Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Hospital, Guangzhou, China. I, once a week for 2 years, visited a 13 year-old boy who suffered from nasopharyngeal carcinoma to help him with what I could and I am sure that my two-year work experience as a hospital volunteer may be of great advantage for my helping those children.
If you could bring a Camp Kesem chapter to CMU this summer, I would like to join you and I am looking forward to getting the opportunity for myself to engage in this community service and volunteer work. Should there any further information, please keep me informed.
